The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the UGC NET exam schedule for the December session. Candidates can check the official notice on the official site of NTA UGC NET on ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
UGC NET exam date and Importance
The UGC NET exam will be conducted in 85 subjects. The exam will begin from January 3, 2025 and end on January 16, 2025. The exam is conducted for the following purposes:
- For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).
- For the post of Assistant Professor.
- For admission to Ph.D.
Exam centre and mode
The exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode at various test centres across the country.

Candidates are advised to check their exam dates on time and strengthen the preparation. NTA has completed all the preparations to conduct the examination.
