An accident occurred in the sea about 70 nautical miles off the coast of Goa on Thursday when an Indian Navy ship collided with a fishing boat. 13 fishermen were there in the boat, 11 have been rescued, while search is on for two others.
How did the incident happen?
According to the Indian Navy, the ship and the fishing boat collided. As soon as the information of this incident reached the spot, the police started relief and rescue operations. Indian Navy ships and helicopters have started searching for the missing fishermen. The Navy, in collaboration with the Mumbai-based Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC), has also deployed essential requirements.

Rescue operation continues
The Indian Navy is trying to locate the missing fishermen. Despite bad weather at sea, rescuers have continued their search. 11 fishermen have been rescued safely and search is on for the other two.
