After the voting for the 288-member Maharashtra Assembly on November 20, the counting of votes is to be done on Saturday. Both Mahayuti and Mahavikas Aghadi are claiming to form the government. Let us tell you about MVA, which includes Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT) and NCP (Sharad Pawar) and Mahayuti, which includes BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP. Obviously, when both are claiming, then both must have also thought of their respective Chief Minister faces? And if not, then the biggest and most important question before Mahayuti and Mahavikas Aghadi before the counting of votes is who will be their contender for the post of Chief Minister? It will be known only after the counting of votes is completed that the public has chosen. But the interesting thing is that differences have started appearing within Mahayuti and Mahavikas Aghadi regarding the post of Chief Minister. Parties of both camps are claiming the post of Chief Minister. However, most exit polls have predicted the formation of the Mahayuti government. Some have also supported the formation of the MVA government.
Sanjay Raut irked by Nana Patole’s claim
Both the ruling and opposition parties are claiming that the mandate will be in their favour when the votes are counted on November 23. Nana Patole has been at the forefront of this matter. Soon after the polling, the state Congress chief said his party-led MVA government will be formed in Maharashtra and the Congress will get maximum seats in the assembly. His remarks did not go down well with ally Uddhav Sena. Its leader Sanjay Raut on Thursday said that “after the MVA secures a majority, the chief ministerial face will be decided jointly by all alliance partners.” Raut quipped that if the Congress high command has told Patole that he will be the chief ministerial face, then national party president Mallikarjun Kharge and its top leaders Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra should announce it.

Shinde, Pawar and Fadnavis are all contenders for the chief minister’s post
Mahayuti alliance partner Shiv Sena MLA and party spokesperson Sanjay Shirsat said that “the assembly elections were fought with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde as the face. Shirsat said that “Voters have shown their preference for Shinde through voting. I think it is Shinde’s right to become the next Chief Minister and we believe that he will be the next Chief Minister.” On the other hand, BJP leader Praveen Darekar, calling Devendra Fadnavis a strong contender for the Chief Minister, said that “I think if anyone from BJP is becoming CM, it will be Devendra Fadnavis.” Not only this, NCP leader Amol Mitkari has suggested the name of Ajit Pawar for the post of Chief Minister. Mitkari said that “whatever the results, NCP will be the kingmaker.” Revealing the Chief Minister’s post, Fadnavis said that “all three Mahayuti parties will sit together and make a “good decision“.”
