Police said that the people who tried to stop the car of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde were workers of Shiv Sena (UBT). In the related case, the police have detained some people.

Recently, rejecting the claim of increasing support of Shiv Sena (UBT), he said that “the Muslim vote bank that Shiv Sena (UBT) is getting will soon disintegrate.” Taking a dig at Uddhav Sena, the Chief Minister said that “the party’s election symbol burning Mashaal is not a symbol of development but a symbol of creating a rift between communities.”
