It is believed that the description of this temple is also found in the Puranas. It is said that the palm of the right hand of Maa Sati disappeared after falling here. This is the reason why the temple was named Alopshankari. The biggest specialty of the temple is that there is a platform in the middle of this temple in which there is a pond. A wooden cradle in a square shape keeps swinging here. This swing is covered with a red colored dupatta. People believe that “where the Kund is made, Maa Sati’s right wrist fell on the same place. Let us tell you that there is no idol of any goddess in this temple, instead, a cradle is worshipped here.

Maa is not adorned during Navratri
