BJP National President JP Nadda has given a befitting reply to Mallikarjun Kharge, who requested President Draupadi Murmu to intervene in the Manipur violence case and accused the central government of failing to resolve the crisis. In fact, after the violence broke out again in Manipur, Mallikarjun Kharge wrote a two-page letter to President Draupadi Murmu on Tuesday and urged her to immediately intervene in the matter of Manipur, so that the safety of life and property of the people of the state can be ensured.

Not only this, Mallikarjun Kharge wrote in his letter that “The country has suffered an exceptionally grave tragedy. More than 300 people, including women and children, have lost their lives due to unprecedented turmoil in Manipur in the last 18 months. This tragedy has internally displaced about one lakh people. The suffering of the people continues.” Apart from this, he also accused the central and state governments of completely failing to stop the violence and restore normalcy and claimed that the people of the state have now lost faith in both these governments.

Congress is repeatedly trying to sensationalise the situation in Manipur
JP Nadda, accusing the Congress of creating a ‘false, misleading and politically motivated narrative’ on the issue of unrest in Manipur, claimed that “the Congress is facing the consequences of its complete failure to deal with local issues while in power in Manipur today.” He said, “What is more shocking is that the Congress is repeatedly trying to sensationalise the situation in Manipur.
Congress has forgotten the mistakes made in the early 90s
Nadda said that “he felt it necessary to respond to the false, misleading and politically motivated narrative against the government which Kharge’s words have failed to hide.” He said that it seems that Kharge and his party have forgotten the mistakes made in the early 90s, including the wrong strategies adopted by the Congress governments at both the Center and the state during similar incidents during the tenure of the previous United Progressive Alliance government and the complete failure of the government machinery. “

JP Nadda said that “Since the initial violence, the Central and Manipur governments have been working to stabilise the situation and protect the people. He emphasised that the BJP is committed to solving the problem quickly and the incidents of violence are being investigated by the NIA, one of the most efficient agencies of the country. Nadda also claimed that “during the tenure of the Modi government, the Northeast has seen a massive change in every sector, be it economy, security, health care, education or access to development opportunities.” Attacking the Congress, Nadda said that “this approach of the Congress leaders to support and encourage the nexus of foreign forces that want to derail the progress of India is really very worrying.”
