Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently on a tour of Poland and Ukraine. After reaching Warsaw, the capital of Poland, PM Modi paid floral tributes at the Kolhapur Memorial and Navanagar Memorial and also addressed the Indian community. Addressing the people, Modi said, “This is not the era of war; we believe in world peace. Whenever any country in the world faces a crisis, India is always at the forefront to help it. India helped many countries even during the time of Covid.” Modi said that ‘India is the land of the heritage of Lord Buddha. That is why we always talk about peace, not war.’
India always considers humanity supreme.
PM Modi said, “Remembering Maharaja Jam Saheb, he said that India always considers humanity supreme. Those who did not find a place to live anywhere in the world, India settled them both on its land and in its heart. This is our culture and heritage. Every Indian is proud that the world calls us Vishwa Bandhu.” During this, PM Modi said, “We will invite 20 youth from Poland to visit India every year. For this, India will start the ‘Jam Saheb Youth Memorial Program’.”
India and Poland have a very old relationship.
Let us tell you that the relationship between India and Poland is very old, but despite this, an Indian Prime Minister is visiting Poland after 45 years. During the Second World War, when Poland was occupied by Germany and the Soviet Union, thousands of women and children from Poland fled and took refuge in India. Here Jam Saheb and Digvijay Singh Ranjit Singh even opened their palaces for them to live in. Many special camps were built here for these refugees, in which they stayed for many years. Maharaja Jam Saheb is known as Bapu in Poland. Many memorials have been built there in his name. At present, about 25 thousand Indian citizens are living in Poland, out of which 5 thousand are students.
