One such practice is in Islam, which has become a problem for all women. This practice, which has become a curse for Muslim women, is so painful that it is beyond description. Just like men are circumcised in Islam, women are also circumcised in the same way (Female genital mutilation ban). Actually, in Pakistan, this is now becoming dangerous for Muslim women. There is a possibility of getting all kinds of infections due to this. Many women have to face unbearable pain due to this. To get rid of this pain, women have come out in protest. Now the situation is such that many such women are coming forward in Pakistan who are not only expressing the pain they have suffered due to this practice, but are also openly opposing it.
Women started demanding ban on female genital mutilation
Let us tell you that women belonging to the Dawoodi Bohra community of Pakistan are circumcised (female genital mutilation ban). This is a common practice among them. If the statistics are to be believed, about 75 to 85 percent of Dawoodi Bohra women in Pakistan either get circumcised by older women in private residences without any anesthesia and without sterilizing instruments. Let us tell you that about 100,000 people of the Dawoodi Bohra community live in Pakistan. The important thing to note is that there is no special law in Pakistan declaring the practice of circumcision as a crime. Talking about the Pakistan Penal Code, under it, broad provisions like Section 328A (cruelty to children), 333 (mutilation or dismemberment of body parts) and 337F (ripping of flesh) can be applied in principle. But surprisingly, no one has filed such a case till date.

Know what is female genital mutilation ban?
Actually, while circumcising women, their clitoris is cut off (Female genital mutilation ban). Experts say that “circumcision can cause reproductive complications in women. The clitoris has the most nerve endings compared to any other part of the human body and it is the most sensitive part of the female body. When it is mutilated, the nerve endings are cut. This causes loss of sensation.”
