Congress may adopt ‘ekla chalo re’ if things don’t work out with the ‘MVA’

The Maharashtra Assembly elections will be held in a single phase on November 20, and the results will be declared on November 23. All political parties are preparing for the elections. The BJP also released its first list of candidates. This is right, but the Maha Vikas Aghadi, which includes Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress, and Sharad Pawar’s NCP, has been at loggerheads for the last few days over seat sharing. There is a tussle going on between Shiv Sena and Congress over seat sharing.

The Congress and the Shiv Sena are contesting 15 seats each

There are several seats in Maharashtra where the Congress and the Shiv Sena are locked in a power tussle. Meanwhile, the talks are still going on. In such a situation, it will be decided in the meeting of the Maha Vikas Aghadi to be held today that the conflict will end, or if it does not happen, the Congress will adopt the strategy of Chalo Re alone. There is a tussle between Shiv Sena and Congress for 15 seats. Of these, three are from Mumbai and 12 from East Vidarbha. Both parties are contesting the seat. A meeting of the Maha Vikas Aghadi will be held this afternoon to resolve this matter.

Both parties are contesting on their own, though more than a dozen meetings of the MVA have been held over seat-sharing. But there is no end to the infighting in these 15 seats. The three seats where the Congress and the Shiv Sena are contesting are Byculla, Bandra East, and Versova. In Vidarbha, the two parties are competing Ramtek, Gondia, South Nagpur, Bhandara, and Gadchiroli. In such a situation, now Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray, and Congress General Secretary Ramesh Chennithala will try to find a solution.

The Uddhav Sena is likely to contest around 90 seats

As per the seat-sharing agreement, the Congress will contest 96 seats, the NCP on 80 seats, and the Shiv Sena on 90 seats. The remaining seats could go to Congress. Even close sources claim that if things do not work out, Uddhav Thackeray can leave the Maha Vikas Aghadi and join the Mahayuti, and the Congress can follow the policy of Ekla Chalo Re. Well, only time will tell who contests with whom and forms the government after the election results.
