After the incident of sexual abuse of girls in Badlapur, the Maharashtra government has issued a directive to install CCTV cameras in all schools of the state.

In the directive issued by the government, it has been said that all private schools of the state must follow the new guidelines of the department. It is necessary to install CCTV cameras at all appropriate places inside the school premises except the toilets. Not only CCTV cameras have to be installed, but the footage will also have to be checked at least three times a week.

In the order issued, it has also been said that if any unpleasant incident is captured in the CCTV camera during this time, then it will be the responsibility of the principal to inform the nearest police. Apart from this, the education department has also directed the school management to get the background of all the employees checked with the help of the local police station.

Not only this, it has been said that a female employee should be appointed permanently for monitoring outside the girls’ toilets, and the responsibility of cleaning the toilets should also be given to a female sweeper. Apart from this, it has also been said that a female employee should be present in school buses. It has also been said that in case of non-compliance of the order, financial funding can be stopped as well as the school’s operating permit can also be canceled.

Increasing crimes against women and children are a matter of concern for the government.

For your information, let us tell you that in a private school in Badlapur adjacent to Kalyan, there was an incident of sexual abuse with two three-year-old girls studying in a nursery. After the incident, protests started in many parts of the state. The accused has been arrested in this case. Needless to say, increasing crimes against women and children are the biggest concern for the government, administration, and society. It can be said that such incidents are happening due to negligence regarding women’s safety.
