The CBI investigation has gained momentum in the case of the heinous crime of rape and murder of a female trainee doctor in a government hospital in Kolkata. The central investigation agency has so far questioned several suspects including three fellow doctors of the victim. Also, evidence has been collected from the crime scene and sent to the lab for investigation. According to media reports, the CBI is now making a list of people who were present in the hospital that day and can give any information related to the incident.
CBI asked these questions
According to media reports, many new information has been received from the three doctors whom the CBI has questioned. The CBI had asked them what was their routine on the night the crime took place and what do they know about the incident. Also, these doctors were asked what happened when they were having dinner with the victim doctor? Who saw the victim for the last time before the incident that night? The CBI has recorded the statements of all the doctors.
CBI summoned 10 people for questioning
Let us tell you that till now CBI has summoned 10 people including the doctor and security supervisor of RG Kar Hospital. All of them were on duty that night. CBI officials are questioning the supervisor along with the duty roster to find out which guard was on duty on which floor that night. This list of CBI also includes those two temporary security guards, who have already been suspended by the hospital.
Former Principal Sandeep Ghosh questioned for 24 hours
Apart from questioning the trainee doctors and guards, CBI has also questioned the former principal of the hospital Sandeep Ghosh for a long time. Dr. Ghosh had reached the CBI office to join the investigation and stayed there for about 24 hours. During this time, the investigating agency tried to find out by questioning Dr. Ghosh where he was on the night of the incident? How did he get information about the incident and what action did he take at his level after that. CBI can call the former principal again for questioning.
