The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) recently cancelled the BPSC examination held at Bapu Examination Centre in Patna. The new date of the examination will be announced soon, the Commission has said. On September 13, the BPSC examination was held peacefully at 911 centres out of 912 examination centres in Bihar, but some anti-social elements disrupted the examination at Bapu examination centre. The decision to cancel the examination was taken on the basis of the inquiry report of the centre superintendent and the district administration.
Riot caught on CCTV
The Patna district administration has released CCTV footage of the Bapu Pariksha Bhawan in which incidents of looting and tearing of question papers by miscreants were captured. In this footage, the miscreants were also seen trying to send the question paper out. The video has gone viral on social media, raising questions about the fairness of the exam.
Allegations of paper leak on social media
There was a huge ruckus during the 70th CCE examination of BPSC at the Bapu examination center in Patna. Amid the exam, claims of question paper leak surfaced on social media, following which students protested. During the ruckus, the Patna district magistrate had slapped a student, which further heated up the matter. The exam was held at 60 centres across the state.

According to the information, about four lakh 83 thousand candidates had applied for this exam. The exam was held in a single shift from 12 noon to 2 pm.
After the cancellation of the examination at Bapu Examination Centre, the biggest challenge before the Commission is to conduct this examination again in a fair manner. Candidates are advised to keep a check on the official website of the Commission for the latest updates on the exam date.
