Violence in Bengal Bandh, clash between TMC and BJP activists, bullet to BJP leader

The BJP’s Bengal closed appears to be violent. Since Wednesday morning, the BJP and Trinamool Congress workers have been seen clashing with each other. Allegedly, Trinamool Congress activists have chased out BJP supporters performing in North 24 Parganas. At the same time, six rounds of firing have been done on the car of BJP leader Prianshu Pandey in the Bhatpara area of Kolkata, accusing TMC activists. A BJP worker sitting in a car with Prianshu Pandey has been seriously injured in this shootout. 

More than 200 people were arrested

West Bengal police said that more than 200 people protesting across the state have been arrested. In many places, protesters also pelted stones at the police. Police said that so far, 14 soldiers of the state police and 15 soldiers of Kolkata police have been injured in clashes between police and exhibitors at different places. Police also fired water showers and tear gas shells along with blackjacking the exhibitors. 

Train stopped at many places

Train services have been disrupted since morning in Hooghly, Sialdah South Branch, Murshidabad, Katwa, and Krishnanagar due to Bengal closure. The demonstrator has jammed the track on various railway lines. Due to this, the operation of dozens of trains has come to a halt. At the same time, the drivers of government buses are driving buses wearing helmets so that they can protect themselves from stonewalling and violence. Taxi roads in other cities, including Kolkata, are seen as negligible. Silence is seen on the streets of West Bengal. 

Almost all other services are closed except essential services

On seeing this, the Kolkata Trainee Doctor Rape and Murder Case has now taken on a political color. The BJP has voiced the Bengal shutdown for 12 hours today in protest against the police lathicharge on this incident and the ‘Nabannrally. Its effect has been seen in various cities of West Bengal since morning. If the train is being stopped somewhere, buses are being stopped somewhere. Almost all other services are closed except essential services. BJP activists and students are taking to the streets and performing. Police have also arrested protesters in several places.
