If media reports are to be believed, this attack took place at Harish Chandra Munsef Lane in the port city at around 2:30 pm. After Friday prayers, hundreds of people arrived in a procession. They started raising anti-Hindu and ISKCON slogans. During this, they targeted Shantaneshwari Matri Mandir, Shani Mandir and Shantaneshwari Kalibari Mandir. Meanwhile, a group of hundreds of sloganeering people threw bricks and stones at the temples. Due to which the gates of Shani Mandir and two other temples were damaged. Meanwhile, the good thing is that seeing the situation worsening, the police immediately controlled the miscreants. Let us tell you that all the gates of the temple were closed before noon. The miscreants reached there without any reason and started attacking. Kotwali Police Station Chief Abdul Karim confirmed the attack and said about this that “the attackers tried to damage the temples.” Police said that “the temples have not suffered much damage.”
