The politics of Uttar Pradesh has heated up over the bulldozer action on the historical heritage in Agra. Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav, while targeting the demolition of Aurangzeb’s Haveli, has demanded the Ministry of Culture of the Central Government to take legal action in this matter. He has demanded to rebuild the damaged part and ensure the protection of the remaining part. Actually, a builder has bulldozed the historical building Aurangzeb’s Haveli (Aurangzeb Haveli) Mubarak Manzil in Agra. Due to which 70 percent of this building has been demolished. There is anger among the people around due to its demolition.
Aurangzeb had built this Haveli (Aurangzeb Haveli) after winning the battle of Samogarh
It is being said that this building was a heritage of 17th century Mughal history. It (Aurangzeb Haveli) was built by Aurangzeb after his victory in the battle of Samogarh. After Aurangzeb, this Haveli was also used by Shah Jahan, Shuja and British officers. Let us tell you that in the month of September itself, the State Archaeological Department had issued a notification for the protection of Mubarak Manzil. Two weeks ago, the officers had also come to inspect it, but, after a few days, the work of demolishing this building started.

Akhilesh furious over bulldozer action on historic mansion (Aurangzeb Haveli)
Akhilesh Yadav, furious over the bulldozer action, took aim at the bulldozer action on historic buildings (Aurangzeb Haveli) on his social media account X and wrote that “In the case of illegal demolition of historical heritage in Agra, we have the following demands from the Ministry of Culture and the Archaeological Survey of India.
- File a case against all the culprits and ensure punitive action as per law.
- Disciplinary action should be taken against the negligence that has happened at the administrative level.
- The restoration work of the part that has been destroyed should be started immediately.
- And the preservation of what is left should be ensured.” He wrote that neither history is being saved nor the future is being created in the BJP rule.
