Adivasi Andolan: Maharashtra Deputy Speaker jumps from the ministry

There was a big commotion in Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra, today. During the Adivasi Andolan in the Mantralaya building, something happened that surprised everyone.

The protest of the tribal MLAs has been somewhat different in the ministry since this morning. Several pro-Adivasi Andolan MLAs had gathered there. They wanted to talk to the government about their demands. But when they were not heard, they started showing their anger. Among these MLAs, the most discussed was Narhari Jhirwal. He is a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. That is, they are in a very important position. But today they also joined the movement. He did something that surprised everyone.

Narhari Jhirwal tried to jump from the third floor of the Mantralaya. A person in such a big position took such a step. But the good thing was that they were caught in the security net. Hence, a huge accident was averted. He wasn’t alone. He was accompanied by some other MLAs. They were also trying to escape. But the security net saved everyone’s life.

The Maharashtra government has decided to grant ST status to the Dhangar community. However, tribal leaders feel that this will take away their rights. They want the government to change its decision. They are also demanding reservations in jobs under the PESA Act. The government’s situation is very bad in this regard.

On one side is the Dhangar community, which wants ST status. On the other hand, the tribals are opposing it. Both the communities are very important for Maharashtra. The government must find a way to keep both sides happy. It’s not easy, but it’s necessary. If that doesn’t happen, there could be even bigger agitations in the coming days.
