500 Para Special Forces commandos have been strategically positioned by the Indian Army in response to the arrival of highly trained Pakistani terrorists in Jammu.
Countering terrorist infiltration
500 Para Special Forces commandos have been deployed by the Indian Army as part of a comprehensive strategy to address Pakistan’s proxy warfare. Overground laborers and terrorist support infrastructure will be identified and eliminated through the collaboration of advanced commandos and intelligence agencies.
Intelligence services have intensified their operations to dismantle the terrorist support network. In Jammu, which has been severely affected by terrorist attacks, this deployment fortifies the Indian Army’s presence. The local terrorist network is to be dismantled, and infiltration and attacks are to be halted by the Army.
Wise reinforcement
In addition to the Para Special Forces, the Indian Army has deployed a brigade of 3,500–4,000 personnel. Ground Army officials are currently devising strategies to locate and neutralize terrorists who possess sophisticated communication devices and weapons.
To combat terrorism, the Army maintains two Rashtriya Rifles forces (Romeo and Delta) and supplementary infantry divisions in the region. The Army’s capacity to address regional security threats is improved by the new deployments and the infrastructure.
Visit and Security Review by the Army Chief
Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi will conduct a security inspection in Jammu today. The commanders of the formation will provide him with information regarding the control zones of the security forces. The security evaluations are also scheduled with a variety of authorities. Captain Brijesh Thapa was among the four Indian Army soldiers who were slain by terrorists in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir, on July 16. The Army chief’s second visit to the region underscores the critical role of security forces in maintaining peace and stability and the persistent issues endemic to the region.
