5 things will be changed and affect your pocket:
1. Change in LPG prices
First of all, let’s talk about your kitchen. On the first date of every month, there is a change in the price of LPG i.n. LPG. New prices may come into effect from 6 am on October 1. For some time now, there has been a fluctuation in the price of a large 19 kg cylinder. But there has been no change in the price of a 14 kg domestic cylinder. In big cities like Delhi and Mumbai, the prices of large cylinders had increased last time on September 1. It is expected that this time the price of domestic gas cylinders may come down before Diwali. So if you are thinking of getting your gas cylinder filled, wait a little, maybe you can save some money.
2. Air travel and CNG-PNG prices
Not just LPG but the price of aeroplane fuel i.e. ATF and CNG-PNG can also change. Last month, the price of ATF had come down. Now it remains to be seen what happens this time. If you are planning to travel by air or your vehicle runs on CNG, then keep an eye on these prices.
3. Changes in credit card rules
If you have an HDFC Bank credit card, then pay attention. Under the rules effective from 1st October, the loyalty program for some credit cards has been changed. Now you will be able to avail reward points only once in three months on purchasing Apple products on the SmartBuy platform. If you are thinking of making a big purchase with your credit card, then keep this rule in mind.
4. Changes in Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana
A big change is going to happen in Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana being run for daughters. From October 1, only the legal guardian of the daughter will be able to run this account. If someone else has opened this account, then it will have to be transferred to the daughter’s parents or legal guardian. If this is not done, that account can be closed. If you have opened this account for your daughter, then check once that everything is fine.
5. Three new rules related to PPF account
Finally, let’s talk about PPF i.e. Public Provident Fund. There are going to be three big changes in this too. First of all, if someone has more than one PPF account, then action can be taken against him. Secondly, if a minor opens a PPF account, then he will get only the interest as much as a post office savings account till he turns 18. He will get the full interest of PPF only after 18 years. Third, the maturity count of the account will also start from the age of 18.
