As everyone is aware, Jinnah and Nehru’s mutual competition to become Prime Minister led to the division of India into two parts on August 15, 1947. Neither of them was ready to give up. Neither Nehru nor Jinnah. Jinnah was the first Prime Minister of an independent India. Nehru did not want Jinnah to hold a dominant position in his office. Jinnah was not worthy in the eyes of Nehru, and Nehru was not worthy in the eyes of Jinnah. Ultimately, both men were determined to become prime ministers at any cost. They don’t care about the country or the people. They didn’t care whether the country would survive or not. Could that possibly be the truth? If either of them were to agree, perhaps there would be no division. But they were not ready to accept this. Edwina Mountbatten, the Viceroy’s wife, was the reason for his refusal. The growing closeness of Jinnah and Nehru to Edwina reportedly prevented them from bowing down. In fact, it was Lord Mountbatten’s tacit consent that Edwina should not let both of them flinch at any cost. The main reason is that in Edwina’s eyes, both Nehru and Jinnah wanted to show themselves as prime ministers.
The desire to become the Prime Minister has divided the country into two parts
The formation of the two parts of Hindustan did not occur because the Muslims desired their own separate country. Alternatively, they may have been unwilling to coexist with Hindus. Today, even after 78 years of independence, both of them are living together. More Muslims are living peacefully in India today than in Pakistan. We were discussing the relationship between Jinnah and Nehru. It is also said that between Jinnah Nehru and Edwina, there were two gardeners and a flowery thing. Several media reports suggest that Nehru and Edwina felt a strong attraction towards each other. Nehru was so captivated by Edwina that he refused to accept Jinnah as Prime Minister. In the end, it was Edwina’s decision that ultimately made the difference. Both Jinnah and Nehru became prime ministers. However, the shadow of his ascension to the Prime Ministership tore Maa Bharti apart. The country was divided. This division resulted in the deaths of millions of innocent people. Numerous mothers and sisters were murdered. Millions of people were rendered homeless. Despite the magnitude of the events, Mahatma Gandhi deserves all the credit for his contributions. You may be surprised to learn that we could have prevented the country’s division. Indeed, we could have prevented the division of the country into two parts.
Jinnah incurable disease
Are you wondering how, exactly? Could we have averted the split? Both were unwilling to leave the post of Prime Minister. How was it possible that both of them had to go in front of Edwina as Prime Minister? It was possible. Jinnah’s cough had actually increased because she had been smoking cigarettes and cigars for 50 years. For 12 years, he was suffering from a life-threatening disease that was impossible to avoid. Death was his last resort. According to several reports and claims, Jinnah was suffering from a sexually transmitted infection. Now they know how they got the disease. However, doctors have ruled out TB as the cause of the disease. Jinnah’s deteriorating health was causing him distress. That is why he was demanding a separate country from the British as soon as possible. However, people were not very supportive. He harbored a fear that if Pakistan didn’t come into existence, individuals such as Sardar Patel would not cede even a single square inch of land to Muslims after his passing. Because of this, he did not let anyone know about his illness for many years. That’s why he avoided doctors. He was somewhere afraid that if he did not get a separate country alive, then he would not get anything after death.
Doctors are hiding the truth
He had kept a distance from the doctors out of fear of leaking the news about the disease. He refused to receive treatment from a Hindu doctor. But on the advice of trusted people, he agreed to get treatment from a Parsi doctor in Mumbai. Before undergoing the treatment or test, he made a promise to the doctor: he would keep any disease he discovered during the test a secret. No one is aware of any of this. Zal Ratanji Patel, a Parsi doctor, assured her that the matter would remain confined to her. After reviewing the test report, the doctor clarified to Jinnah that she was only a two-year-old guest. The Indian doctor concealed a significant issue. Not only that, but the Parsi doctor Zal Deubu, who was responsible for preparing the report, remained silent.
The area might not have been part of the country
Imagine if Sardar Patel had known about Jinnah’s illness. Of course, there is freedom throughout the year. Of course, the discussion about freedom was distorted and avoided. Instead of 1947, 1948 would have been independent. What more could there be? There were slaves for so many years, there would be slaves throughout the year. At least, the country would not have been divided into two distinct parts. Imagine how a Mumbai doctor’s treachery led to the country’s partition, displacing millions of people from their settled homes. Despite all this, the doctors remained silent. In 1962, the then Nehru government bestowed the Padma Bhushan award upon that traitor, Dr. Patel. It is important to acknowledge that in his role as a doctor, he has undoubtedly saved many lives. Many patients have been cured. Should the individual who committed such a significant betrayal to the nation receive the Padma Bhushan?
