To honor Goddess Lakshmi, get up early, take a bath, and bow down. Put on white clothes and make a Rangoli in the place where you worship. Cleanse the house with Gangajal and make a promise to fast. Put jewelry and kumkum on the figure of Goddess Lakshmi to make it look nice. Lay out her image and Ganesha on a red cloth so that they face east. Then, cover the cloth with rice.
Sunflower paste, rice, betel leaves, dates, and a metal coin will be used to make a Kalash. Put a coconut on top of it that has sandalwood and kumkum on it and mango leaves all around it.
