CBSE 12th Supplementary Exam 2024: CBSE has declared the results of the 12th supplementary exam. This time, girls outperformed boys. A total of 29.78% of the students have passed, in which the pass percentage of girls is 33.47 per cent and that for boys is 27.90 per cent.
CBSE 12th Supplementary Exam 2024: Overview
The Central Board of Secondary Education declared the results for the 12th supplementary exam on August 2, 2024. This year’s exams began on July 15. Students can check their results by visiting the official website of CBSE, cbse.gov.in. Students shall require their roll number, school number, admit card ID, and security pin to view the results.
Results Analysis
This year, the result percentage was 29.78%. Girls did better than boys with a pass percentage of 33.47% as compared to 27.90% of boys. Total registered students were 131,396, while 127,437 appeared, and 37,957 passed.
Performance of Delhi and International Schools:
Students from Delhi performed well. The number of students registered was 10,496, with 10,223 appearing and 4,431 passing, accounting for a pass percentage of 43.34%. International schools also showed good performance. The number of students registered was 804; the number of students who appeared was 784, while the number of students who passed was 290, thereby accounting for a pass percentage of 36.99%.
Performance of Special Needs Students
Special needs students did exceedingly well. Out of 243 enrolled students, 240 appeared for the exam and 118 passed, securing the highest pass percentage among all categories at 49.17%.
Comparison with Previous Results
The results of the main 12th exam were declared on May 13, 2024. At that time, the pass percentage of the 10th class was 93.60% and of the 12th class was 87.98%. With the supplementary exam results, the overall pass percentage will further improve. The results are very vital for students who couldn’t pass earlier since they give them another chance to excel without a year being wasted in preparing for further studies or career planning. This excellent performance by girls shows their capabilities and competitiveness.
