World’s leading IT company Microsoft has announced to invest US $3 billion to expand cloud and AI infrastructure in India. Microsoft chairman and CEO Satya Nadella. He said that digital technology is progressing rapidly in India, where people are moving towards multi-agent deployment. According to Nadella, this is part of Microsoft’s largest ever expansion in India, under which an additional investment of US $3 billion is being made to increase Azure capacity.
10 million people will be trained in AI
Nadella said the company is expanding regionally in India and aims to empower every individual and organisation. He said that it is important to ensure that India’s human resource capacity is able to take advantage of the vast opportunities and possibilities of technology. Microsoft has set a target of training 10 million people in AI skills by 2030.

Nadella is on a 3-day visit to India. Prime Minister Modi also expressed his happiness over the meeting and posted on social media platform ‘X’: “Satya Nadella, it was a pleasure meeting you. Delighted to learn about Microsoft’s ambitious expansion and investment plans in India. It was wonderful to discuss various aspects of technology, innovation and AI.”
