Maruti Suzuki has always been known for its small and affordable cars. However, over the years, the company has shifted its focus towards manufacturing premium cars. In this direction, Maruti is now preparing to expand its SUV portfolio. According to media reports, the company is working on a 7-seater version of the Grand Vitara, codenamed Y17. Recently, the first glimpse of this prototype has been seen during the test drive of the vehicle.
Maruti Grand Vitara 7-Seater
The design of the new 7-seater SUV is largely based on the Grand Vitara. The door contour, window line and mirror placement are the same as the current Grand Vitara. However, the rear of this car is longer, which indicates that extra space is being created for the third row seats.
The design of this new SUV will be attractive and modern. This matches the design of the Evitara recently showcased at EICMA 2024. The front fascia features three-dot LED DRLs, which will be located above the main headlamp and integrated into the bumper. Also, the sculpted design of the bumper and the central air intake gives it a sturdy look. At the rear, the SUV gets sleek, full-width LED taillights that give it a premium finish.
