Electric cars in Auto Expo 2025

As times change, so does the technology. And in this growing technology, electric vehicles have hit the Indian roads these days. At the same time, electric SUVs are becoming increasingly popular at this year’s Auto Expo. A lot of people prefer electric cars and SUVs. Not one, but several new electric SUVs are set to be launched or showcased at the Auto Expo 2025. 

These electric SUVs are expected to be launched 

Maruti e Vitara 

Maruti e Vitara’s first EV, the eVitara, is designed for the Indian and international markets. It will be based on the HEARTECT-E skateboard platform. The EVTARA will have two battery options – 61 kWh and 49 kWh, which will generate 144 bhp and 174 bhp power respectively. The EVTARA will be launched at the India Mobility Expo. 

Hyundai Creta Electric 

Hyundai India is expected to launch the Creta electric at the Auto Expo. It will be available with 42kWh and 51.4 kWh battery options. Its smaller battery will give a range of 390 km, while the long range variant will be able to cover 473 km. Tata Harrier. 

Tata Harrier. EV 

Tata Motors will be presenting the Harrier.EV at the Expo. It will be based on the Acty V.EV platform and will have a powertrain giving a range of 500 km. The SUV will look similar to the Ice Harrier, but will have EV-specific elements. 

Tata Safari. EV 

Tata’s second big EV launch will be the Safari EV. It will be the electric version of the existing Safari and will share the powertrain of the Harrier.EV. It has a range of about 500 km. 

The Toyota Urban Cruiser 

EV Toyota will launch the Urban Cruiser EV after the launch of the eVitara. It will have the same powertrain as the Evitara but there will be some differences in design. 

Mahindra BE6 Mid Variant 

Recently Mahindra launched its EV and now the Mahindra BE6, will come with three variants and two battery options – 79 kWh and 59 kWh. Prices for the mid variant (Pack 2) will be announced at the expo. Thoughts On The Mahindra XIV9E Mid Variant The Mahindra XEV 9E will be the electric coupe version of the XUV700. It will have the same battery and powertrain as in the BE6. The prices of the mid-variants will be revealed at the expo. 

BYD Sealion 7 

The Cillion 7 is an electric coupe SUV that is a suitable alternative to the Tesla Model Y. It will come with 82.5 kWh and 91.3 kWh battery options.

Skoda Enyaq 

Skoda will introduce the facelifted version of the Enyaq EV at the expo. It will come with 77 kWh and 59 kWh battery options, with the larger battery offering a range of up to 588 km. 

Volkswagen ID4 

Volkswagen’s first EV, the ID4, will be launched in India this year. It will come with 52 kWh and kWh powertrain options, offering a range of over 340 km and 500 km respectivly.
