On February 14, Neelam Shinde, a resident of Satara in Maharashtra, was hit by a four-wheeler car in California. After the accident, 35-year-old Neelam was admitted to UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California, where she is undergoing treatment in the ICU. She has gone into coma (Indian Student in Coma) due to chest injury. Meanwhile, Neelam Shinde’s roommate informed her parents living in India about this accident. Since the doctors in the hospital need her family to operate on Neelam. A visa is needed to go to America. And due to all kinds of paperwork and the long process for an American visa, there are difficulties in getting the visa. Due to which the family is not able to go to America to meet the daughter. Meanwhile, her family is seeking an urgent visa from the Center to reach their daughter.

According to the information, she had gone to America for higher education and she was a fourth year student at California State University. The report further said, quoting the Shinde family, that Neelam had an accident on February 14, when she was out for an evening walk. Then a speeding car coming from behind hit her from behind. Currently Neelam is battling between life and death in a hospital in California (Indian Student in Coma). However, the driver of the car that hit her has been taken into police custody. This is fine, but the police are also facing legal difficulties in registering a case in the matter without the presence of any blood relative of the victim. Well, in this whole matter, Neelam’s family said that “the hospital needs permission to operate on her.” He said that “Neelam is fighting for life and the hospital administration could not take any risk unless a close relative of hers was present there. Meanwhile, Neelam’s father Tanaji Madhav Shinde said that “We came to know about the accident on February 16 and since then we have been trying for a visa, but we have not yet received a visa.” Let us tell you that Neelam Shinde’s mother died a year ago due to a brain tumor.
