Bihar is a very prosperous state but surprisingly there is not a single expressway here. Never mind, now Bihar is also going to get its own expressway. Let us tell you that the Amas Darbhanga Expressway approved under the Bharatmala project is going to be a huge 189 km long route. This project includes many flyovers, bridges and interchanges. It will be constructed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). This expressway will be six lanes. The primary objective of the Amas Darbhanga Expressway project is to increase connectivity between North and South Bihar.
Amas Darbhanga Expressway will pass through the middle of Bihar
Amas Darbhanga Expressway has been designed as a six-lane access-controlled route. About 1300 acres of land has been acquired in 56 villages for this expressway. It will start from Aams in Gaya district and go up to Bela Nawada in Darbhanga district. It will increase business and employment opportunities while also reducing the chances of road accidents. On completion, it will benefit the cities in many ways, including increased business activities and better road connectivity. This expressway will connect North and South Bihar. Four hours of time will be saved due to this expressway. This expressway will pass through the middle of Bihar. It will connect major cities and regions via Aurangabad, Gaya, Patna and Darbhanga.

Bihar’s first greenfield expressway will transform the road infrastructure of the state
Aams Darbhanga Expressway will start from Aams, strategically located on Delhi-Kolkata NH-19, and reach Nawada village in Darbhanga. During this, it will join NH-27 while passing through seven districts. Amas Darbhanga Expressway will pass through many cities including Amas, Ramnagar, Sabalpur, Chaksikander, Mathurapur, Guraru, Panchanpur, Bela, Ibrahimpur, Okri, Pabhera, Dabhaich, Shiv Nandanpur (Budhi Gandak), Basudevpur Ramnagar (Laheriyasarai), Bela Nawada (Darbhanga), Bahuara, Shahpur Baghauni (Tajpur). It cannot be denied that the Amas-Darbhanga Expressway will prove to be a game changer for Bihar. Of course, it will open the way for progress for the people of Bihar and will change the picture of the state. The big thing is that keeping all this in mind, the government is engaged in completing it rapidly.
