Mahayuti government has been formed in Maharashtra and the departments have also been divided, but the dispute among themselves is not stopping. A new dispute has arisen in the Mahayuti over the posts of guardian ministers. According to media reports, Shiv Sena ministers Bharat Gogavale and Sanjay Shirsat have already staked claim on Raigad and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Not only this, people of NCP and BJP are also eyeing these districts. Although there are 42 ministers, still 12 districts are not represented in the government. Due to the presence of many ministers in many districts, there is a tug-of-war over them.
Guardian ministers control the funds of the District Planning and Development Council
Let us tell you that the guardian ministers control the funds of the District Planning and Development Council, which are used for various development and beautification projects in the districts. Apart from this, they also preside over the programs of Independence Day and Republic Day. However, Shiv Sena minister Shambhuraj Desai claimed that “there is no dispute regarding the ministerial post, department allocation or the posts of guardian ministers.” On the other hand, state BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule said that “the government will prevent any kind of dispute regarding the posts of guardian ministers.”
No MLA of Shiv Sena or NCP has become a minister from Mumbai
The big thing is that there is no minister of Shiv Sena or NCP from Mumbai. In such a situation, it is believed that the guardian minister of Mumbai suburbs will be Ashish Shelar of BJP, while Mangal Prabhat Lodha will be the guardian minister of Mumbai city. Now the problem is that Shiv Sena is keen to have at least one guardian minister in Mumbai. And moreover, it can insist on giving this post to an outsider MLA. Let us tell you that in the previous government, Shiv Sena MLA from Sawantwadi Deepak Kesarkar was chosen for Mumbai city. However, in the meantime, BJP minister Atul Save from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar said that “Whatever decision our seniors take in the Mahayuti, we will accept it. CM Devendra Fadnavis has shown a lot of trust in me. I have been given the responsibility of three departments.”
