As per the agreement, the Pakistan team will not come to India to play their group stage matches in the T20 World Cup to be held in 2026. Instead, Pakistan will play all their group stage matches in the Sri Lankan city of Colombo. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had already made it clear that Team India will not travel to Pakistan to play in the Champions Trophy. After this, Pakistan had expressed displeasure and refused to hold the tournament in the hybrid model.
