A shocking case has come to light from Bengaluru, where 34-year-old AI engineer Atul Subhash committed suicide. Atul, a resident of Samastipur in Bihar, took the extreme step on December 9, accusing his wife and mother-in-law of harassing him for money. Before committing suicide, Atul wrote a 90-minute video and a 24-page suicide note, in which he detailed his experience and troubles after his marriage.
- Atul wrote in his suicide note that his wife Nikita Singhania had filed several cases against him and his family by making serious allegations.
- Six cases were filed in the lower court and three in the high court.
- They were charged with murder, attempted murder, domestic violence and dowry.
- They demanded Rs 3 crore and Rs 2 lakh per month as alimony to settle the case.

- A murder case has been filed over the death of Nikita’s father.
- In his note, Atul also made serious allegations against the family court judge of Jaunpur.
The judge demanded a bribe of Rs 5 lakh to settle the case
According to media reports, a biased attitude was adopted against him. The court ordered him to pay Rs 80 lakh as alimony. His wife instigated him to commit suicide in the court, at which the judge also laughed.
Atul’s last message – Atul wrote in his suicide note
“If justice is not served, my ashes will be thrown in the gutter outside the court.He appealed to his wife to hand over the child to his parents. He instructed his brother to keep the camera on while meeting his wife and in-laws.

Atul’s mother said they just want justice. Atul’s brother said that his brother’s dreams of marriage were ruined. Disturbed by his wife’s false allegations and court dates, he took the drastic step of committing suicide.

The failure of the justice system
The case has raised questions about the justice system. Following the incident, a case of abetment to suicide has been registered against Atul’s wife and her family.
