Actually, there is a political uproar over beef that is not stopping. Meanwhile, the Assam government has banned beef. The government’s decision states that beef will not be served in any restaurant or hotel in the state, nor will beef be served in any public place or function. In fact, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma himself announced this on Wednesday. He said that “It has been decided that beef will not be served in any restaurant or hotel in Assam. Actually the word beef means the meat of cow, calf, bull and buffalo. But the word beef is only for the meat of cow and calf. Let us tell you that there is a provision of 3 to 8 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 3,00,000 to 5,00,000 for violating the law in Assam.
Beef will not be served in hotels or public places or functions
According to media reports, the Chief Minister of Assam held an online cabinet meeting in Delhi. Other ministers of the state were connected to it through video conferencing. In this meeting, it was decided to ban beef in Assam. After this, Chief Minister Sarma said that “Three years ago, a law was brought in Assam to stop cow slaughter. After this, a lot of success was achieved.” He further said that “Now it has been decided that beef will not be served in any restaurant or hotel or public place or function in Assam. Earlier this ban was only on beef near temples. Now it has been implemented in the entire state.“

There is a complete ban on cow slaughter in these states
Let us tell you that there is a complete ban on cow slaughter in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Haryana, Kashmir, Chhattisgarh, Delhi and Chandigarh. These states have the most stringent punishment for violating the cow slaughter law. Haryana has the highest provision of a fine of Rs 1 lakh and a jail sentence of 10 years. Not only this, in Maharashtra there is a fine of Rs 10,000 and a jail sentence of five years for cow slaughter. Apart from these, a partial ban on cow slaughter is applicable in Jharkhand, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Telangana, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Goa and Daman-Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
