There is news of a deadly attack on Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal. He was shot in the Golden Temple premises of Amritsar. Actually, a person shot at Sukhbir Singh Badal, who was serving the punishment given by the Takht in the Golden Temple of Amritsar, with the intention of killing him. Fortunately, Sukhbir Singh Badal narrowly escaped this attack. Seeing the attacker approaching, the people around caught him in the blink of an eye. It was the result of the alertness of the people that a major accident was averted. Let us tell you that Shiromani Akali Dal leaders including Sukhbir Singh Badal were serving in the Golden Temple since December 2 under the religious punishment declared by Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
Sukhbir Singh Badal was given religious punishment by the Takht
According to the information received, Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal has been given religious punishment by the Takht. Under this, he reached the Golden Temple of Amritsar on a wheelchair with a placard hanging around his neck. Due to this punishment, Badal had to work as a sevadar in the Golden Temple. Apart from this, he had to do duty at the door as well as serve langar. It is worth noting that Akal Takht has given this punishment to Sukhbir Singh Badal citing the mistakes made by Shiromani Akali Dal and its government in Punjab between 2007 and 2017. However, due to an injury in Sukhbir Singh Badal’s leg, he was on duty outside the clock tower of Sri Darbar Sahib (Golden Temple) for 2 days from December 3. Then an unknown person attacked him.

The attacker has been identified as Narayan Singh Chaura
After this incident, ADCP Harpal Singh said that “There were strong security arrangements in the Golden Temple. Sukhbir Singh Badal was given proper security.” He further said that “The attacker has been identified as Narayan Singh Chaura. He had come to the Golden Temple yesterday as well. He came today as well and after paying obeisance at the temple, he came back and fired the shot. Meanwhile, the accused has been taken into custody and further investigation is being carried out.”
