Pakistanis’ arrogance regarding the ICC Champions Trophy controversy is not decreasing. A hybrid model has been agreed upon between all the parties, but the Pakistan Cricket Board has laid down some conditions for giving its approval. PCB has the right to host this tournament. It was adamant on organizing the entire tournament on its ground, but the BCCI has refused to send its team there due to security reasons. In such a situation, ICC gave it the option of a hybrid model. PCB initially refused to do so, but soon its attitude cooled down. The interesting thing is that the schedule of Champions Trophy has not been released yet.
India will play all its matches in UAE
Despite all the meetings of ICC, nothing has been revealed officially yet. It is being speculated that if the tournament is organized on a hybrid model, then India will play its matches in UAE. Apart from this, if it reaches the semi-finals and finals, those matches will be held in the UAE. The PCB is ready to accept the hybrid model, but it has also put a condition of taking a higher share of the Champions Trophy revenue. Apart from this, it has also said that “it will not tour India for any tournament in the future.” The PCB has also reportedly demanded that “all ICC events to be held in India should also be held in a hybrid model.”
Shoaib Akhtar lost his temper
Well, Shoaib Akhtar, former fast bowler of Pakistan and famous as Rawalpindi Express, is very angry with the controversy of the ICC Champions Trophy. His anger is such that now he has started speaking nonsense about Team India. His irritation over the ICC Champions Trophy controversy was so much that he said something that went viral on social media. Speaking to a Pakistani channel, Akhtar said, “You are getting paid for the hosting rights and the revenue. That’s fine. We all understand that. Pakistan’s stance is also fair. They should have maintained a strong position, why not? Once we are able to host the Champions Trophy in our country and they are not willing to come, they should share the revenue with us. That’s a good call.”

Said this for India
Meanwhile, Akhtar also said, “PCB should send Pakistan’s team to India for future ICC events. But, they should build their team in such a way that Pakistan can beat India in its own home.” On this, he further said, “In case of playing in India in the future, we should extend a hand of friendship and go there. My belief has always been, go to India and beat them there. Play in India and beat them there. I understand the hybrid model was already signed.” Akhtar, however, agreed with the PCB and said that “since the tournament is being held in a hybrid model, they should get a higher share of the revenue.”
