Yogi government strict on Sambhal violence, will recover money from stone pelters, posters of rioters will be put up

Last Sunday, during a survey conducted on the orders of the court, violence broke out in Jama Masjid located in Mohalla Kot Purvi of Sambhal, UP. Four people were killed in this violence and at least 25 people including a sub-district magistrate were injured. Public property was also damaged in the stone pelting during this period. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the Yogi government has made up its mind to recover money from the stone pelters involved in the Sambhal riots. After this uproar, the Yogi government is going to take strict action against criminals and rioters.

Posters of rioters will be put up

According to the news, posters of all the people whose names have come up in the Sambhal violence will also be put up in the area. The police department and the home department have also started the necessary preparations. Let us tell you that in a similar initiative in the year 2020, the Yogi government had put up posters of the accused of violence in protest against the amended citizenship law at public places. These posters were put up at many places including the state capital, which were later removed on the orders of the court.

7 FIRs have been registered so far regarding the violence

According to media reports, 7 FIRs have been registered so far regarding the violence in Sambhal. A case has also been registered against Samajwadi Party MP from Sambhal, Ziaur Rahman Barq and Suhail, son of SP MLA Iqbal Mahmood from Sambhal Sadar seat. After this case, 27 accused have been arrested and more than 100 accused have been identified. Police will put up posters of the identified accused at the intersections. This identification has been done by the police with CCTV and drone cameras. The Internet has also been banned for the next 24 hours. The net has been shut down here for the last 48 hours.

Samajwadi Party leaders demanded a CBI inquiry

On this matter, the spokesperson of the state government said that “The state government is taking a tough stand against the people involved in the violence in Sambhal. Posters of stone-pelters and miscreants will be put up at various places and the damages will be recovered from them. A suitable reward can also be given to the person giving information for their arrest.” Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party leaders have demanded a CBI inquiry into the violence
