Shocking facts have come out about the violence in Sambhal during the survey of Jama Masjid in Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh. Investigations have revealed that this violence was pre-planned and behind it was a dangerous fight for supremacy between the Turk and Pathan communities. Four people, all supporters of Pathan MLA Iqbal Mehmood Ansari, were killed in the incident. According to sources, issues like Turks vs Pathans and Desis vs foreigners were instigated behind the violence, which led to tensions between the two communities reaching its peak.
The ruckus broke out when the supporters of the Turk community MP opened fire at the supporters of the Pathan community MLA. Several people from the Pathan, Saifi and Ansari communities were killed in the firing. This bloody conflict was the result of trying to degrade each other. Preliminary investigation has revealed that no one was killed in police firing during the violence in Sambhal. All those killed were supporters of the MLA.
A case has been registered against the MLA and his son
So far, seven cases have been registered and 25 people arrested in connection with the Sambhal violence. Samajwadi Party MP Ziaur Rahman Barq and Sambhal Sadar MLA Iqbal Mehmood Ansari’s son Suhail Iqbal have also been named in the case. According to media reports, the police have registered a case against 800 unidentified people, including Barq and Suhail Iqbal.

Police said the reason behind the attack
Sambhal Superintendent of Police Krishna Kumar Vishnoi said the violence was triggered by rising tension between the Turk and Pathan communities. The inflammatory statements made by Burke and his supporters added fuel to the fire. Earlier, Barq was also served a notice for his inflammatory remarks on the preservation of Jama Masjid. Vishnoi said the situation turned tense during the survey, following which incidents of stone-pelting and firing took place.
