Today marks the 75th anniversary of the Constitution of India, a celebration of the country’s democratic journey and the unique vision of the makers of the Constitution. Adopted by the Constituent Assembly on 26 November 1949, the Constitution came into force on 26 January 1950, giving India the form of a sovereign, socialist, secular and democratic republic. In 75 years, the Indian Constitution has not only provided stability to the governance system of the country, but has also strengthened the principle of unity in diversity. It guarantees social justice, equality and fundamental rights that give every citizen a sense of dignity and freedom. On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Indian Constitution, a special program has also been organized in the Central Hall of Parliament today. The veteran leaders of the country greeted the people on the 75th anniversary of the Constitution.

75th Anniversary of the Indian Constitution

President Droupadi Murmu 

President Droupadi Murmu addressed the event organized in Parliament on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Constitution. He first remembered Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the President of the Constituent Assembly and Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, the Chairman of the Drafting Committee. The President also remembered the 15 women members of the Constituent Assembly and the officers who worked in the background. On January 26, we will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Indian Constitution and such celebrations provide us an opportunity to plan for the future.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the nation on the occasion of Constitution Day. He has also shared the video on his X, in which he has written, “Wishing all the countrymen a very Happy Constitution Day on the auspicious occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the Indian Constitution.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah greeted the nation on the occasion of Constitution Day. Today India is celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Indian Constitution with full enthusiasm. To commemorate the contribution of all the architects of the Constitution, including Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, Modi ji started celebrating ‘Constitution Day’.

The 75th anniversary of the Constitution of India gives us an opportunity to revisit and strengthen its basic tenets. It is also a day to express gratitude to the architect of the Constitution, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and other members of the Constituent Assembly.
