A total of 33 IAS officers from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar cadre were sent to the state as observers to conduct fair and peaceful elections in Maharashtra. Out of which 22 IAS officers were from Bihar cadre and 11 IAS officers were from Uttar Pradesh cadre. As per the information, a total of 139 IAS officers were sent as observers for the Maharashtra elections.

The maximum number of observers reached Maharashtra from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh to conduct the Maharashtra assembly elections in a peaceful and fair manner. Talking about IAS officers from other cadres, 18 IAS officers from AGMUT cadre and 12 IAS officers from Madhya Pradesh cadre were also given the responsibility of conducting the elections in a fair and peaceful manner.
