Farmers of Punjab and Haryana Really fooling NASA? South Korea Exposed The Truth

Air pollution in India

Amazing, isn’t it? Farmers of India have learned to fool NASA. It means that farmers of India have now started fooling NASA. This has been revealed by NASA’s own scientist. According to media reports, a NASA scientist has revealed that farmers of North India and Pakistan have learned to fool satellites by burning stubble. In fact, the scientist claimed that “farmers have changed the time of burning stubble, due to which the correct data of stubble burning is not coming out.” However, scientists of the Meteorological Department say that “their data includes incidents of fire at night as well, so the talk of farmers fooling can be a figment of some people.”

Farmers of some areas are burning stubble after 2 pm

According to the news, Aerosol Remote Sensing Scientist Hiren Jethwa of NASA Goddard Space Flight Center has shared some satellite pictures on the social media platform X. These pictures have been received from NASA and South Korean satellites. Jethwa claims that the pictures received from South Korean satellites show that farmers in some areas of North India, especially Punjab and Pakistan are burning stubble after 2 pm. They are doing this because they know that NASA’s Suomi NPP and Aqua Earth-observing satellites usually pass over North-West India and Pakistan between 1:30 and 2 pm. Let us tell you that these are among the few satellites in the world that detect fire.

Incidents of stubble burning have decreased

It should be noted that last Monday more than 7000 incidents of stubble burning were recorded in Punjab alone. Indian satellites INSAT-3D/3DR provide data every 15-20 minutes, but it is not in their power to go through such a thick sheet of aerosol and detect scattered fire. On the other hand, Punjab Pollution Control Board Chairman Prof. Adarshpal Vij says that “incidents of stubble burning have reduced. Farmers are avoiding satellites, this may be the imagination of some people, it has nothing to do with reality.” Questioning the government data, scientist Hiren Jethwa said that “If the burning of stubble had reduced, it should have been visible in the aerosol i.e. smoke particles present in the air. These days, a sheet about three kilometres thick is spread in the atmosphere due to this aerosol.”

If the level of pollution is not decreasing, then how are the incidents of stubble burning decreasing?

According to the data collected by NASA’s satellite, 80,346 incidents of stubble burning by farmers were recorded in Punjab in the year 2020. In the year 2021, 69,445 incidents of stubble burning were recorded, in the year 2022, 47,788 and in the year 2023, 33,082 incidents were recorded. So far in the year 2024, only 8,404 incidents of stubble burning by farmers have been reported. Now the question arises that when the level of pollution is not decreasing, then how are the incidents of stubble burning decreasing year after year?

South Korea endorses NASA’s claim

South Korea has endorsed NASA’s claim. Korean scientists have claimed that farmers of Punjab and Haryana are burning stubble only after noon. A satellite of South Korea (GEO-KOMPSAT-2A) passes over these cities every 10 minutes. The data of this satellite shows that stubble is being burnt after noon in Haryana and Punjab. Also, the data of the Korean satellite shows that the incidents of stubble burning have increased in Haryana and Punjab as compared to previous years.

People’s life has become difficult

No matter what NASA says, it cannot be denied that a large number of farmers are burning stubble in Punjab and Haryana. This is the reason that the country’s capital has turned into a gas chamber. People’s lives have become miserable. But NASA’s data shows that compared to previous years, incidents of stubble burning have reduced in Haryana and Punjab. If incidents of stubble burning have really reduced, then why has the pollution level not decreased? Compared to previous years, pollution in Delhi has not decreased even by an iota. In many areas of Delhi, the AQI level has crossed 500.
