On one hand the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is adamant on its stubbornness, on the other hand the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is hopeful. Meanwhile, on Monday, PCB President Mohsin Naqvi has given a big statement on this issue. He talked about the questions sent to the ICC and made it clear that “his hopes are still intact.” However, let us tell you that no decision has been taken by the ICC on this issue at the moment.

PCB has sought clarification on BCCI’s decision through ICC, although PCB has not received the answer yet. Meanwhile, Mohsin Naqvi clarified that “he still hopes for a successful tournament in Pakistan.” According to the report, Mohsin Naqvi, while talking to the media at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, said that “We have sent our questions to the ICC. If India has any concerns, let us know

Meanwhile, while putting forth his point, Mohsin Naqvi further said that “All the teams that have qualified for the Champions Trophy are ready to come to Pakistan. No one has any objection to coming here. I will say again today that if India has any concerns, let us know. We can solve their problems. But I don’t think they have any concrete reason.” Apart from this, Naqvi also said that “For us, the dignity of Pakistan is most important. I think the ICC will have to think deeply about its credibility whether they are an organisation for all countries. That route has been rescheduled.”

If PCB does not agree, the tournament can be shifted outside

However, the ICC has asked the PCB to organise the tournament in a hybrid model. But Pakistan has clearly refused to organise the Champions Trophy in this model. The ICC does not want to organise the tournament without India and Pakistan is not agreeing. It is also being said that if the PCB does not agree to the ICC, the tournament can be shifted outside.
