Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray got furious with the repeated investigations being done by the Election Commission. He got so angry with the repeated investigations that he even demanded investigation of PM Modi and Amit Shah too. In fact, amidst the Maharashtra Assembly elections, the officials of the Election Commission checked the bag present in Uddhav Thackeray’s helicopter for the second consecutive day. This time the checking took place in Latur, Maharashtra. Earlier on Monday, his bag was checked in Yavatmal. However, this check done by the Election Commission has given rise to controversy. Well, according to the news, Uddhav Thackeray was in Ausa constituency of Latur as part of his election campaign. During this, he clashed with the Election Commission officials over the checking of his personal belongings. Actually, on November 11, Thackeray had a heated argument with the Election Commission team in Yavatmal. Thackeray questioned the officials, “Was a similar check done on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis?

Not only this, he also made a video of this incident. In which he tries to know whether similar security protocols were implemented for other leaders of the ruling alliance? During this, he asked for video proof of any bag check done on the leaders of the Mahayuti alliance. He says that “if they are being checked then the same should be applied to other politicians including the Prime Minister.”

He has no ill will towards the officers doing the checking

However, Uddhav Thackeray clarified that he has no ill will towards the officers doing the checking, but all leaders should be treated equally. Meanwhile, while addressing a rally in Ausa constituency of Latur, Uddhav urged the public to demand similar checking of all political personalities, saying that “Just like they check your pockets, check them as well. This is your right.”
