Baba Siddique’s son Zeeshan joins NCP to contest from Bandra East

Former minister Baba Siddique’s son, Zeeshan Siddique, has joined the NCP. Zeeshan, who was earlier with the Congress, contested on a Congress ticket and became an MLA from Bandra (East). Now NCP has also declared Zeeshan as its party candidate from Bandra East constituency. He will be contesting against Uddhav Thackeray’s nephew, Varun Desai.

On joining the NCP, Zeeshan Siddiqui said, “This decision is very emotional for me and my family. I am thankful to Ajit Pawar, Praful Patel, and Sunil Tatkare for believing in me in difficult times. I lost my father; many people misused it for political gains. I was in Congress for many years, but I am disappointed that the Congress did not give us importance. Coming to the NCP like my father, I am sure that with the support of all the people, I will win the Bandra East seat again this year.”
