According to the list released by Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena, 5 candidates have been selected from Vidarbha. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde will contest from Kopri-Pachpakhadi constituency. Ashish Jaiswal is the BJP candidate from Ramtek in Vidarbha. Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena has also released a list of 45 candidates for the Maharashtra Assembly elections. MNS shared the list on social media. MNS chief Raj Thackeray’s son Amit Thackeray is contesting from Mahim constituency. The Shiv Sena has again fielded sitting MLA Sada Sarvankar against Amit Raj Thackeray.
Ajit Pawar’s NCP is also likely to release its list
The parties that are part of the ruling Mahayuti alliance in Maharashtra are contesting the assembly elections together. There is a BJP government in the state. Devendra Fadnavis was sworn in as Chief Minister, while Ajit Pawar took over as the deputy Chief Minister. The BJP and the Shiv Sena have already announced their candidates.
