Tensions between India and Canada are at an all-time high over the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had blamed India for the killing, but no evidence was provided to India regarding these allegations. However, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is now surrounded in his home over these allegations. Canadian opposition leader Maxime Bernier has accused Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of using the Nijjar murder case to divert attention from pressing issues concerning the country.
The Government of Canada corrects its previous administrative error
People’s Party of Canada leader and main opposition Maxime Bernier told the media that Hardeep Nijjar was a foreign terrorist who fled India and submitted false documents several times to get Indian citizenship. But his application was rejected. Due to our administrative mistakes, he somehow got citizenship in 2007. Bernier said it was time for the Canadian government to correct its past administrative mistake and posthumously strip the Khalistani terrorist of his citizenship.
Show the evidence to the people of Canada
“If this is true, these allegations are very serious; the government must deal with them immediately,” Bernier said. There has to be evidence of that also. “So far, no evidence has been given to the Canadian public, and Trudeau is using this controversy to distract people from other controversies involving the country,” Bernier said. “For decades, Canada has deliberately allowed foreigners and their ethnic conflicts into our country,” Bernier said. We need to rectify this mistake in time. At the same time, the Nijjar issue should not jeopardize our relations with an emerging world power and an important ally. We need to work together with the Indian government to solve this problem.”
