According to the news, India has also successfully tested its own Iron Dome in Pokhran. It is a fourth-generation short-range air defense system. It was developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO). In simple language, they can also be called indigenous defenders. In technical language, it is called the Very Short Range Air Defense System (VSHORADS). Needless to say, this new air defense system will further strengthen the security of the country.
Notably, it is a surface-to-air missile. Three successful tests have been carried out so far. It can carry a total of 2 kg of weapons with it. The total weight is 20.5 kg. It is 6.7 feet long and has a diameter of 3.5 inches. Its range is from 250 meters to 6 kilometers. It can run at a maximum speed of 1800 mph. The big thing is that during the trial, this missile destroyed the target while meeting its targets. The target is very clear. It is equipped with modern technology as well as a reaction control system and integrated avionics system. It also features an infrared imaging system. This technology helps in tracking enemy air strikes.

This new air defense system has been designed in such a way that it can be easily moved from one place to another. Its biggest feature is that it can easily shoot down low-flying aircraft, unmanned aircraft, and helicopters. It can also protect against air strikes. Needless to say, whether it is the war between Russia and Ukraine or Israel and Hamas, the importance of such air defense systems has increased significantly in recent times. They have shown that air defense systems can play a big role in any war. For this reason, in the present era, it has also developed its indigenous air defense system.
