There are many grand and famous temples in India. These include temples of Shiva, Vishnu, Krishna, and goddesses, as well as many other gods. But have you ever wondered why the temples of Brahmaji, the creator of the universe, are not everywhere in India? Needless to say, this question must have arisen in your mind at some point or another. Perhaps very few of you know that there is only one temple of Brahmaji in the whole of India, which is located in Pushkar, Rajasthan. Now in such a situation, the same question arises again: why only one temple and that too in Rajasthan?
To finally free the demon, Brahmaji subdued him.
So this is because the story behind this is also very interesting. Actually, according to Padma Purana, a demon named Vajranash was wreaking havoc on the earth. There was chaos all around due to his fear. In such a situation, Brahma killed that demon. This was fine, but during the killing, lotus flowers fell from his hands at three places. And three lakes were formed at those places. One of these places was named Pushkar. After this, Brahma decided to perform a yagya here for the welfare of the whole world.
Brahma married for the second time.
Then what? Brahma found a good time and reached Pushkar to perform the yagya. Everything was ready for the yagya. But Brahma’s wife, Savitri, was getting late in reaching. And the time of the auspicious was passing. Since it was necessary to sit with the wife in this yagya. All the gods, goddesses, and Brahmins had reached, except Savitri. Seeing the auspicious time passing, Brahma quickly manifested Gayatri from the mouth of Nandini cow and married her. And then, after the marriage, he completed the yagya while the auspicious time was still there.
Savitri cursed Brahma out of anger.
The yagya was just over when Savitri reached the yagya place, and seeing Gayatri sitting next to Brahma, she became furious. Savitri became so angry that she cursed Brahma. Even after this, her anger did not subside, and she cursed the Brahmin who performed the marriage and said that no matter how much donation the Brahmin gets, he will never be satisfied. Not only this, she cursed the cow to eat dirt in Kaliyug and Narada to remain a bachelor for life. She did not stop even at this; she cursed Agni to be insulted in Kaliyug and Vishnu to suffer the pain of separation from his wife.
Then the temple will be destroyed.
The reason for cursing Vishnu was that he had helped Brahma in this work. This is the reason why Lord Ram had to stay away from Sita during the 14 years of exile in Rama Avatar. Well, during this time everyone humbly requested Mata Savitri with folded hands to take back her curse, but she did not listen to anyone. Well, after some time, her anger subsided, and she said that your (Brahmaji) worship will be done only here in Pushkar. Apart from this, if anyone builds your temple anywhere else, then that temple will be destroyed.
Brahmaji’s temple is 2000 years old.
According to mythological beliefs, the temple of Brahmaji in Pushkar is 2000 years old. And it is believed that the lake near this temple was built by Brahmaji. People take baths in this lake. Let us tell you that this is the only temple of Brahmaji in the whole of India. Being the only temple of Brahmaji, every year lakhs of people reach the temple to visit. This temple is situated on the banks of Pushkar Lake. Due to its captivating beauty, tourists from far and wide come here.
