The protest that started in Kolkata over the rape and murder of a female trainee doctor has now taken a political turn. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, angry with the 12-hour Bengal bandh called by the BJP, has now created a controversy by saying, “If Bengal burns, Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and Delhi will also burn.” Expressing displeasure over this statement of Mamata Banerjee, BJP leader Sukanta Majumdar has written a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Sukanta Majumdar said that such anti-national statements cannot be the voice of a person holding a constitutional post. Mamata Banerjee is trying to provoke people by making provocative statements.

Mamata is giving anti-national statement – Sukanta Majumdar
While talking to the media, Sukanta Majumdar said that “This voice cannot be the voice of a person sitting on a constitutional post, it is an anti-national voice. Mamata Banerjee is trying to threaten people, incite violence and spread hatred among the people. Therefore, she does not deserve to be on such an important and constitutional post. Mamata Banerjee should resign without delay.”
Take cognizance of this serious matter immediately
Sukanta Majumdar said that “He has written a letter to the Home Minister and informed him about this entire incident. Along with this, for the safety of the people of West Bengal and the integrity of the state, he has urged him to take immediate cognizance of this serious matter. Take necessary action to handle the deteriorating situation in the state and maintain law and public order.”
Assam CM also hit back at Mamata
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has also hit back at this statement of Mamata Banerjee. He posted on his ex and said, “Didi, how dare you threaten Assam? Don’t show us red eyes. Don’t even try to burn India with your failed politics. It does not suit you to speak such divisive language.”
