New Delhi, November 4, 2026: Apple has introduced new artificial intelligence features through its iOS 27.3 and watchOS 27.3 beta updates, expanding Siri’s capabilities across multiple applications and bringing AI-powered conversation summaries to compatible Apple Watch models. The updates also include improvements to Safari, health monitoring, fitness features and third-party app integration.
Siri AI Gets More Powerful Across Apple Apps
The latest beta expands Siri AI’s ability to perform complex tasks across Apple’s ecosystem.
Users can now ask Siri to organise files, locate previously visited places, manage Safari tabs and coordinate plans with friends.
For example, Siri can create playlists in Apple Music, organise browsing tabs into groups and schedule messages.
Apple says the expanded capabilities are being tested across 16 applications, including Mail, Calendar, Files, Maps, Messages, Music, Notes, Photos, Safari and Reminders.
Apple Watch Introduces Siri Recap
One of the biggest additions is Siri Recap, an AI-powered feature designed for Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4.
When enabled, the feature can generate summaries of conversations, including important discussion points and automatically generated titles.
Users can review these summaries later through the Siri app on their iPhones.
The feature is intended to help people remember important information without taking notes manually.
Live Rewind Recalls Recent Conversations
Apple has also introduced Live Rewind, which allows users to view text from the previous 15 seconds of a conversation.
By double-pressing the Apple Watch Digital Crown, users can display a short transcript of recently spoken words.
They can also ask Siri questions about the conversation or save the information for future reference.
The feature could be useful when users miss instructions, directions or important details during a discussion.
Apple Highlights Privacy Protections
The new Audio Intelligence features use dedicated hardware and on-device processing to protect sensitive information.
Apple says the system does not create or store conventional audio recordings, while raw audio used for processing is isolated and deleted.
Saved conversation summaries and text snippets are protected through end-to-end encryption.
Users must explicitly enable the features, and their availability depends on compatible hardware and supported software.
Redesigned Health App Adds AI Insights
Apple is also testing a redesigned Health app with expanded Apple Intelligence capabilities.
The updated application can analyse health data and provide personalised insights covering physical activity, sleep, cardiovascular health and other wellness measurements.
New additions include Health Age and movement assessments, alongside broader language support.
The features aim to help users understand their health information more easily.
Fitness+ Introduces Personalised Strength Plans
Apple has introduced Fitness+ Gym Strength, a new workout experience featuring personalised four-week training programmes.
The plans are designed around users’ fitness goals, experience levels, schedules and available equipment.
Workouts include recommended exercises, sets, weights and instructional videos.
Apple Watch users can also track heart rate, calories and exercise performance.
Safari Gets Vertical Tabs and Adaptive Dark Mode
The iOS 27.3 update introduces several improvements to Apple’s Safari browser.
Users can organise browsing tabs vertically, making it easier to view full page titles and manage multiple websites.
A new Adaptive Dark Mode can apply a darker appearance to websites that do not support dark themes.
Siri can also assist with sorting tabs, closing unnecessary pages and managing browsing history.
Apple Opens Siri AI to Third-Party Developers
Apple has announced a new developer preview that allows third-party applications to integrate with Siri AI.
Using the App Intents framework, developers can enable voice-controlled tasks such as checking deliveries, placing orders and managing reservations.
Apple is also introducing a feature called Skills, allowing developers to combine several actions into more advanced workflows.
The company expects to begin accepting App Store submissions using these expanded integrations in spring 2027.
iOS 27.3 Currently Available in Beta
The updates are currently available for developer testing rather than as a general public release.
Some AI features require Apple Intelligence-compatible devices, and availability may vary by region, language and device model.
Apple has not yet confirmed a final public release date for all the new capabilities.
The beta marks another step in Apple’s efforts to integrate artificial intelligence more deeply into everyday tasks across its devices.
