LUCKNOW, September 9: The Uttar Pradesh Education Services Selection Commission (UPESSC) has announced recruitment for 1,936 Assistant Professor posts in co-educational and women’s degree colleges across Uttar Pradesh under Advertisement No. 04/2026.
Applications Open Until October 7
Online applications began on September 8 and candidates can apply and pay the fee until October 7, 2026. Corrections to submitted applications will be allowed until October 11.
The recruitment examination is scheduled for November 19 and 20, 2026.
Eligibility and Pay Scale
Candidates must generally have:
- A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in the relevant subject
- NET, SLET or SET qualification, or an eligible PhD
- Maximum age of 62 years as of July 1, 2026
Selected candidates will receive a Level-10 pay scale of ₹57,700–₹1,82,400.
Written Exam and Interview
The selection process will include a written examination, interview/personality test and document verification.
The written test will carry 360 marks with 120 objective questions, followed by a 40-mark interview.
