32,388 Posts Across Classes 1 to 12
The vacancies have been distributed across four major teaching levels:
- Classes 1–5: 3,847 posts
- Classes 6–8: 8,563 posts
- Classes 9–10: 3,877 posts
- Classes 11–12: 16,101 posts
With 16,101 vacancies, the Classes 11–12 category accounts for the largest share of the recruitment.
Major Recruitment Drive for Bihar Aspirants
The notification comes after months of anticipation among Bihar’s teacher aspirants. Candidates had been demanding the release of the TRE-4 notification and had staged protests in Patna over delays in the recruitment process.
The announcement has therefore provided significant relief to candidates preparing for government teaching examinations. However, reports indicate that some aspirants continue to raise concerns about recruitment timelines and other issues even after the notification was released.
Important Changes in TRE-4
The fourth phase of the Teacher Recruitment Examination also introduces changes to the examination process.
Reports based on the notification state that negative marking will be applicable, with candidates losing marks for incorrect answers. The examination process and eligibility requirements vary according to the teaching level and post.
Candidates should therefore read the official advertisement carefully instead of relying only on summaries circulating online.
Additional Vacancies May Increase Total Posts
A further development reported on August 19 is that Bihar’s Education Department is preparing to add 886 additional vacancies, which could take the overall TRE-4 recruitment figure to 33,274 posts.
These additional vacancies reportedly include positions in subjects and languages such as Magahi, Maithili, Prakrit and Agriculture. However, the currently released BPSC notification formally covers 32,388 posts, so candidates should wait for the commission’s official update before treating the additional 886 posts as part of the active advertisement.
What Candidates Should Do Now
With applications scheduled to open on September 1, candidates should prepare their educational certificates, Teacher Eligibility Test documents and other required records in advance.
Applicants should also verify their post-wise eligibility, age requirements, reservation rules and subject qualifications from the official BPSC advertisement before submitting the application.
A Major Opportunity for Government Teacher Aspirants
The TRE-4 recruitment is a significant opportunity for candidates seeking government teaching positions in Bihar.
With 32,388 posts officially notified and the application window approaching, attention will now shift toward the application process and examination schedule.
Candidates should rely on the official BPSC notification for the final rules and dates as the recruitment process moves forward.
