President Droupadi Murmu Begins Two-Day Visit to Andhra Pradesh

Amaravati, June 30: President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday began a two-day official visit to Andhra Pradesh, during which she is scheduled to participate in a series of official engagements, including educational, developmental, and public programmes across the state.

The visit is aimed at strengthening the Centre’s engagement with Andhra Pradesh and recognising initiatives in education, innovation, and public welfare.

Official Welcome in Andhra Pradesh

President Murmu was received by Governor S. Abdul Nazeer, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, senior state ministers, and top civil and police officials upon her arrival.

A ceremonial reception was organised in accordance with official protocol before the President proceeded to her scheduled engagements.

Participation in Key Programmes

During the two-day visit, the President is expected to inaugurate and attend various public events, interact with students and faculty at educational institutions, and participate in programmes promoting innovation, skill development, and inclusive growth.

She will also address gatherings highlighting the importance of education, women’s empowerment, and sustainable development.

Discussions on Development Initiatives

Officials said the visit provides an opportunity to review Andhra Pradesh’s progress in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and digital governance.

State authorities are expected to brief the President on major development projects and initiatives aimed at boosting economic growth and improving public services.

Focus on Education and Youth

A significant part of the President’s itinerary includes interaction with students, researchers, and academic leaders.

President Murmu has consistently emphasised the role of education, scientific research, and innovation in nation-building, and her engagements are expected to encourage young people to contribute to India’s development.

Strengthening Centre–State Engagement

The visit reflects the continued cooperation between the Union Government and the Andhra Pradesh Government on issues related to development, governance, and public welfare.

Officials said the President’s engagements will conclude on Wednesday after completing her scheduled programmes across the state.
