After the 22 April 2025 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India has given a befitting reply to Pakistan, which gave place to terrorism, under Operation Sindoor. This midnight retaliation has spread panic in many areas of Pakistan. Especially in Chhamb and Sialkot sectors, the situation has become very tense. There are emergency-like conditions in these areas and citizens have been instructed not to come out of their homes.
Pakistan’s Chhamb sector is adjacent to Jammu’s Akhnoor sector and falls on the Line of Control (LoC), while Sialkot is located on the international border. This military action by India has shaken the strategic areas of Pakistan.
On the night of 8 May, a big explosion took place in Peshawar, while India launched a major retaliatory strike after Pakistani drone and missile attacks. According to reports, Indian missiles reached Lahore, Sialkot, Karachi and Islamabad. It is being told that an explosion took place just 20 kilometers away from the residence of Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, which caused panic in the Pakistani power system.
Action taken for self-defense and protection of military bases
The Indian Army has clarified that this action was taken for self-defense and protection of military bases. An attempt was made by Pakistan to target Indian military bases in Jammu, Pathankot and Udhampur. In response, the Indian Army demonstrated its strategic and technical capability and launched a decisive attack.

India’s advanced S-400 air defense system destroyed eight missiles fired by Pakistan in the air. Apart from this, reports of explosions have also come near the Khundru Ordnance Depot in South Kashmir. However, no casualties of any Indian civilian or soldier have been confirmed so far.
This action of India has given a clear indication that it is capable of responding to terrorism to any extent. Operation Sindoor is not just a military operation but has become a symbol of India’s unwavering commitment to sovereignty and security.
